Desensitization and Transplant Antibodies Course (DATA)
October 2 – 3, 2014
Hilton Bonnet Creek, Orlando, FL
USThe methods of ‘desensitization’ in transplant patients to reduce human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules against sensitized antibodies are varying, difficult, expensive and not well understood by the transplant community at large. Only a relatively small number of programs are able to desensitize successfully to transplant—each with its own protocols.
This conference seeks to bring together the leading authorities in desensitization for a focused meeting on this topic. This will allow the exchange of ideas and expertise between them and transplant programs that are having difficulties with transplanting this patient population.
Additionally, the gathering of the experts in the field will encourage a more uniform approach to this problem. We seek to make this an unprecedented annual conference to further promote consistency in the monitoring and reporting of data in this field.
