Preparing for Adult Heart Allocation Changes

Summary
With the upcoming changes to the adult heart allocation system, many transplant hospitals are wondering what they can do to be prepared to transition their existing patients into the new allocation statuses in the system. UNOS Policy Analyst Kim Uccellini, and heart transplant coordinators Le Ann Stamos and Christine Brenner will discuss suggestions for transition plans.

Objectives
Upon completion of this instructional offering, the learner will be able to:
* Enter data in WaitlistSM to reflect heart candidates’ new urgency status
* Verify heart candidate information is accurate within 24 hours of policy implementation

After registration you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Once registered, make sure you have completed your entrance survey in UNOS Connect. Continuing Education Information
As a designated Approved Provider by ABTC, UNOS will grant one Category 1 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Certification (CEPTC).
Once you complete the exit survey, your certificate will be available on your transcript.
